Andre tristan

After a 20-year battle with addiction, Andre found his way to Statesboro, Georgia in search of recovery and a better life. At the time he was homeless, broke, lost his family, been in and out of prison, and could not see a way out of the mess he had made. It was in the Damascus program that he developed the skills and the tools to turn everything around. After graduating from Damascus, he found a passion for helping those who struggled just like he did. He has become a Certified Addiction Counselor through the Georgia Addiction Counselors Association, an active member of AA, and a sponsor in the 12-step program. Utilizing his experience, strength, and hope, he has continued to be an inspiration and motivator for men who are on the same path that he was. Andre has a passion for recovery and to make a difference. 

Today he has is blessed with gifts of sobriety. He has his family back, a career, a purpose, and a peace that only recovery can give. No longer a slave to his addiction, he has one goal in life: to bring hope to the hopeless.
